THE GROOMING PROCEDURE
We take the utmost care throughout the grooming process to ensure the health, safety & welfare of your pet. However, Wilshers Pets will not be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions or problems found during the grooming process. It is very important that you therefore make us aware of any health condition or allergy your pet has or has had in the past.
We will always bring to your attention any problem we find whilst grooming your pet, such as teeth condition, skin, ears, lumps, bumps, abrasions, fleas and will advise a trip to the vet where applicable.
We will assess your pet upon arrival for behavior, weight and handling. We will use this time to bring to your attention any areas of the coat that we feel are too matted to be brushed out or in an area it is not safe to do so. In the case of a matted coat we will clip them short for the welfare of the pet.
REFUSAL OF GROOM
Wilshers Pets reserve the right to refuse a groom if the health and safety of the groomer and or the pet is at risk. A muzzle may be used at any part of the groom for the safety of the staff.
If your pet has bitten anybody or had aggressive tendencies at any time, you must inform Wilshers pets prior to the groom. I understand that I will be liable for any harm, injury or damage to property my pet has caused.
If there are any behavioral, health problems or if parasites are found on my pet, the groom will be stopped and you will be contacted to discuss further options.
CONDITIONS UNCOVERED
Wilshers Pets is not responsible for any conditions or problems discovered during or after the grooming process. Wilshers Pets will inform you of anything that has been found.
VET CARE NEEDED
Should the worst happen and your pet needs urgent Veterinary help, Wilshers Pets has permission to take action as they feel appropriate for the wellbeing of the pet. Wilshers Pets will take your pet to either your Vet or Wilshers Pets registered Vet depending on urgency. Reimbursement will be at the discretion of Wilshers Pets unless it is clear that Wilshers Pets is liable.
VET CARE NEED AFTER THE GROOM
If you find that your pet may need Veterinary attention after the groom, please inform Wilsher Pets within 48 hours. Reimbursement will be at the discretion of Wilshers Pets unless it is clear that Wilshers Pets is liable.
DISCONTINUATION OF GROOMING
Wilshers Pets reserves the right to cease to groom a pet if it is deemed that to continue would cause stress or injury to either the pet or the groomer. If the grooming session is too stressful for the pet, we will discontinue and offer to book in on the next available date.
PHOTOGRAPHS
We often take before & after pictures of the pets we groom and use on our social media and for advertising.
PRIVACY POLICY AND GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS
We will never share your personal information without first seeking your permission. We do not share your information with any third parties and it is locked away in a cabinet overnight. On a yearly basis we will destroy cards where customers have not used our services and destroy any information relating to them.
SAFETY OF PETS
We would ask that upon your arrival if the doors are closed that you use the doorbell to inform us of your presence, unless there is a warning sign which asks you not to. Please be vigilant of any warning notices before you enter. To make sure all dogs are kept on a lead and under control. To make sure the front door is closed behind you before we open the gate to the salon, this is to ensure no dogs escape!. To warn us if your dog is a flight risk.
GROOMING COST
You will be given a price for the grooming upon booking, however this price may change due to certain factors such as matting, fleas & behavior based upon his/her coat condition on the day.
Matted Coats will be charged at £5 / £10 where a comb will not pass through the coat.
If we discover fleas during the groom, the groom will be stopped and you will be contacted to discuss further options. A £10 fee may be added as the salon will have to close and be fumigated.
If the pet is very difficult to groom due to behaviour that hasn't been previously discussed with us a £10 fee will be added where the safety of the pet or groomer is at risk.
CANCELLED APPOINTMENTS, LATE ARRIVALS/COLLECTION OR MISSED APPOINTMENTS.
If you need to cancel an appointment, you must let us know at least 24 hrs before your appointment to waive the cancellation fee. You will get a text reminder the night before your allotted appointment, if you cancel after that message you may be charged a 25% cancellation fee. If you cancel on the day of your appointment you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. If you can't make your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances please inform us as soon as possible where other arrangements can be made, such as collection & drop off.
Failure to attend an appointment will result in a 50% charge of the missed groom before we can book you back in. Future grooms will then require a 50% deposit.
If you are 15 minutes late for your appointment, we may have to re-schedule unless you let us know the reason and endeavour to arrive as soon as possible after the due time.
We would appreciate it if you could collect your pet within half an hour of us calling you. Please do not arrive at the shop before we call/message you as this is very unsettling for the pet, and as a result if the groom is not finished your pet will be sent home as they are.
Late collection, unless pre-arranged you will incur a fee of £5.00 per 15 mins, as this then affects us for our next appointments.
PAYMENT.
payment for the services shall be made in the amount of £ pound sterling and to be paid either in full by cash or card or to pay a deposit of X amount quoted by the groomer and to again be paid by cash or card, then the rest to be paid on the day of the service again to be paid by cash or card.

AGREEMENT.
Within these terms & conditions it contains the entire agreement between both parties and superseded all prior oral and written agreements, both parties acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions stated herein.
